In winter term 2011 the Master's Programme "Space Sciences and Earth from Space" of NAWI Graz was launched, following the ULG Space Sciences. The students get trained in a technical and natural sciences oriented education in the area of space sciences. They have the choice between three different major fields of study, complementary to each other: "Solar System Physics", "Satellite Systems", and "Earth System from Space". This new Master's Programme is based on the principles of research oriented education and benefits from merging the competences of institutions located in Graz as there are the Karl-Franzens University, the Graz University of Technology, the Space Research Institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and Joanneum Research.
