ESA has chosen instruments for JUICE 25.02.2013


JUICE (JUpiter ICy moons Explorer) is ESA's first mission to the outer solar system. It will carry a total of 11 scientific experiments to study the gas giant Jupiter and three of its largest moons, Ganymede, Callisto and Europa. IWF Graz will particpate in three scientific instruments.

Are super-Earths acually mini-Neptunes? 04.02.2013


In a recent study IWF group leader Helmut Lammer explains why most of the discovered super-Earths are more like mini-Neptunes.

Konrad Schwingenschuh receives Cross of Honour of the Republic of Austria 20.11.2012


In recognition of his outstanding achievements in space research Konrad Schwingenschuh was conferred the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art, First Class. The official ceremony took place on 19 November in the Old University.
