Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) and the Space Research Institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) itensify their collaboration by offering a permanent joint professorship position.
Therefore, the position of a
University Professor of Space Sciences at TU Graz
in accordance with § 98 UG (University Act), who will at the same time be appointed as
Director of the Space Research Institute at ÖAW,
will be opened as of 1 September 2018. Each of the two functions represent a 50% employment and are considered to complement each other.
We are seeking for a candidate with an outstanding scientific track record, who has the potential both, to promote space research at large and to strengthen the interdisciplinary cooperation between the scientific groups of both institutions (TU Graz and ÖAW).
TU Graz and ÖAW aim at increasing the percentage of women, particularly in management and academic positions, and therefore, qualified female candidates are explicitly encouraged to apply for the position. Female candidates with qualifications equal to male candidates, will be preferred.
