Satellite Geodesy

The Department of Satellite Geodesy is engaged in the application of Laser-, Microwave- (GPS, altimetry, radiometry) and Gradiometer (ESA, GOCE mission) methods with the aim to determine satellite orbits, the Earth's gravity field, movements of the Earth's crust, the orientation of the Earth in the interplanetary space, the sea surface topography, the structure of the troposphere as well as the mass distribution of the Earth's interior.
